FAQ

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

When you engage in my travel services you can expect to pay professional service fees depending on what your needs are. You have the option to choose a fully customized itinerary with hotel, flights, transfers and tours or the option to book only hotels or airlines a la carte. In addition, it is the utmost importance to stay within the perimeters of your budget. I take pride in my extensive knowledge in budget travel and luxury travel – whichever experience you’d enjoy best.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

As your personal travel consultant, we will meet via phone or email to discuss what your needs and wants are. I will use my destination knowledge, connections and experience to create a customized full service itinerary for each trip.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

You can book with me in confidence as I am a certified travel agent with Nexion LLC as my host agency. I am an Accredited Cruise Counselor with CLIA. I am up to date on all the major cruise line’s trainings including Virgin Voyages, MSC, Norwegian, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity and Ama Waterways. I also partner with several travel affiliates that allow me to give the best possible price to clients.

What types of customers have you worked with?
My client list varies from those who are well-versed travelers who purchase my services to access my travel hacks and prices to those who prefer to have an advocate who takes the time and stress out of planning.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

It is ok to ask all of your questions because that is what I am are here for! I would also suggest letting me know your expectations and top priorities so that we are on the same page. When asking yourself if you need a travel consultant, consider the possibility of something happening on your trip such as lost luggage or unforeseen circumstances, it is reassuring to know that you have someone in your corner. When you’re booking on Expedia, Costco, etc. you’re still working with a travel agent but you do not get that personalized service.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

It is important to think about your budget and your expectations for the trip. Where would you like to go? What dates are you looking to travel? Also, hotel and airline prices fluctuate so it is important to consider if you have the money to book before consulting with a professional. Also, if your trip is over a year away, wait to plan! The best time to purchase flights is 6-8 weeks out for domestic and 3-6 months for international, it is not likely to provide adequate pricing for those planning a trip over a year away.

Why do you charge an agency fee?
If you’d like a quote, we put the quote deposit towards your trip. If you’d like a full itinerary, there are fees associated with this type of request. When you’re booking with Expedia, Costco Travel, etc. you’re still working with a travel agent and paying them a fee. However, you do not get that personalized service and our personal (844) 950-2143 to call in the event of emergencies.

We also put a lot of time and thought into planning your trip. Planning a trip properly is quite involved and time intense — There are many moving parts and details. It requires expertise and research to provide you with the right recommendations based on your preferences and needs,to cross all the “t’s” and dot all the “i’s,” and to continue to monitor conditions and changes up to and throughout the trip.

The planning fee makes sure the time we put into your adventure is compensated. Travel agents are only paid from the resorts/suppliers they book after the client travels. The fee covers our time in the case that we work for hours and something occurs and you can’t travel anymore. I can assure you that the fee is well worth the quality of service you will receive!
